RSC was established in the year 1979. The construction of its entire infrastructure was done with the money raised as admission fees from members and through corporate sponsorships. This concept of Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode was introduced for the first time here, way back in the year 1986 itself, during the construction of Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium that was completed in the year 1993. It has facilities for 24 sporting events with 22 round-the-year sports & games academies run by efficient and experienced coaches. It has world-class infrastructure in most of the sporting facilities. The sports & games academies include Basketball, Badminton, Billiards/Snooker, Chess, Cricket, Football, Fencing, Boxing, Karate, Kung Fu, Kick Boxing, Taekwondo, Judo/Kurash/Ju-Jitsu, KRAV-MAGA Women Self Defense, Swimming, Skating, Rifle Shooting, Table Tennis and Tennis. Aerobics with Zumba Dance for ladies only and Rock Climbing are an added attraction.
