SS Cricket Academy was started in the year 2000, with a group of 40 boys from different age group in the city of Chennai in India. As a result of the intensive coaching on individual basis and by the sincere efforts of the coach, in a span of four years, the academy produced players to represent district and the state level. During 2007, upon reckoning the conscientiousness furtherance, the academy was honoured with an affiliation of a club status by the Thiruvallur district cricket association (which is a subordinate body of the Tamil Nadu cricket association and BCCI. The academy has the facility of three nets, exclusive area for drills and a cricketing ground for conducting the matches. The head of this academy is a level 'A' certified coach (Certified by board of control for cricket in India's national cricket academy) and hence, a systematic coaching process as per the guidelines and curriculum formulated by the cricketing nations is stringently espoused. An exclusive process is being adopted for teaching the basis of the game followed by exclusive drills for improvisation of timing in the batting techniques, accuracy and speed in bowling and athleticism in fielding. The periodical Mind classes are conducted to impart the noesis of this lovely game. The periodical video analysis are being done for extemporization of the skills in appropriate fashion and in further, a periodical video session projecting the visual clippings of the game is screened to divulge the dandiest historical events that took place in the game. A few years ago, Besides regular system of coaching,a set of twenty raw boys were selected for exclusive T20 format of cricket. They were put to trail for few years to understand and test the New School Syllabus of Drills, which are being palyed on modern day of Cricket, A team of Coaches, Trainers and sports psychologists monitored their progress. The results revealed some interesting details which sequently gives birth to the unique new dimensional T20 drills.
