Chennai Achievers Table Tennis Academy (CATTA) was inaugurated by the Honourable J.Selvakumar, Secretary General of TNTTA & CDTTA on 14th April, 2012 Mrs.Arul Selvi Selvakumar Indian team coach - Former India No-1 and Mr. M. J. S. Dilip Kumar Treasurer of CDTTA - International cheif Referee, were the guest of honour. The founder and head coach of CATTA is M.B.Subin Kumar. It is registered and recognized by The Tamil Nadu Table Tennis Association (TNTTA) & Chennai District Table Tennis Association(CDTTA). In 2012, CATTA was started in the activity room of Sea View Apartments, Thiruvanmiyur, Chennai with a strength of 4 children. Currently, the academy functions at the Transformers Fitness and Sports Academy, New Beach Road, Thiruvanmiyur, Chennai. It has grown to a professionally run full-fledged table tennis academy with a strength of around 40 students. The academy has produced several national, state and district level players in a short span of four years.
